CAT’s Zero Carbon Britain report has shown it is possible to become carbon neutral by 2030 using existing technology. But without the political will to make it happen, a government invested in the fossil fuel industry and full of super-rich climate deniers, this possibility begins to look unlikely. How can we reclaim our power? What role does direct action have to play?

This workshop explores strategies for social and political change to avert catastrophic climate change and best/worst case scenarios for the rapid shift from fossil fuels to renewables that we need to happen.

With Ewa Jasiewicz and Kara Moses of Reclaim the Power.

This in an outreach event for Reclaim the Power, the action camp that last summer created an incredible shit-storming event that shut down Cuadrilla’s drilling site, headquarters, PR spin doctors as well as a load of MP supporters in one epic day of synchronised action that put a big dent in the fracking industry, grabbed worldwide headlines, and helped change the public’s opinions on fracking.
